Confederate officer button, eagle facing right with relaxed wings lined field with no stars, southern wartime manufacture, blank with channel, (15.4mm). Backmark: Blank back, deep rounded channel, likely the product of C Rouyer, New Orleans(Blank Local 19As) Design is drooped wing eagle, lined background, This button was only made in this cuff size high puff design...Note the rim gives the appearance of three piece but this is two piece... Reference: Albert CS27, Tice CS287As1. This one was recovered in Chambersburg PA part of Jeb Stuarts raid during the Gettysburg campaign.
