Please see photos. From a private collection. Beautiful early Paramount / Wm. Lange Style 1 Tenor Banjo,c.1923.. Appears all original including gold plated Patented Page Tuners with M.O.P. buttons, gold plated hardware, Brazilian Rosewood neck & resonator, carved heel & back of headstock,Improved Paramount Pat.Pending Tailpiece..many high end appointments. All hooks, nuts & shoes appear original. Overall condition is Good to Very Good. The gold plating shows some dullness & wear. There are spots & areas where the plating is worn through...perhaps 15 to 20% of surfaces. The plating has wear on the Armrest. The rest of the plating has some darkened areas from use & exposure. It may clean up some. I have not attempted anything except to wipe dust off with a soft dry cloth. I'm trying to be detailed and posted a lot of photos. As this banjo approaches 100 years of age it has held up well. The original hard shell case is in good condition for its age. The magenta colored zippered shroud does work, protects the banjo.
