This is a great early powder horn! The early style lobe attachment at the butt is still intact which is very rare to find! The horn is approx. 10.5" overall, and 3" wide at the butt. It features a very pleasing golden patina, which indicates its age. The horn has a large carved spout in solid condition. The butt appears to be oak held on by extremely fine pins. Probably a musket horn judging by it's size and large spout opening (1/4").
A fine, well cared for addition to any collection of early artifacts!
