This is an original circa 1860's cdv photo of PRESIDENT JEFF DAVIS " DRESSED AS A WOMAN" CSA.." I thought your government was more magnanimous than to hunt down women and children". We have seen a number of different similar cdv's over the years depicting Jeff Davis as a woman. But, this is the first we have seen of this specific design rare depiction. The bottom of the cdv states: Entered accordingly to the act of congress in the year by C.H. Anderson, in the year 1865, in the clerk office of the district court for the district of Columbia... The size is 3 15/16 inches long by 2 3/8 inches wide in a protected plastic case.
